The Mercantile Position

In middle school, I learned that the Mercantile System of economics of the 16th and 17th century was based on the idea that there is a finite amount of wealth in the world and that the way for any nation to advance is to accumulate as much of this wealth as possible to the detriment of their rival nations.

In my older and wiser years, I realize that all along, I should have applied this same principle to sex. It really becomes a whole new world when you start to look at sex as a finite commodity.

  1. Remember that time I got drunk and you totally could have had sex with me but you didn’t because you’re a wonderful person…?

    :) I love you.
