New Tunes

Giving the emusic a shot since they sell mp3s without any DRM and seem to have a pretty good selection of the delicious alt.indie.country.folk.pop.rock genre that all of the music that I listen to falls neatly in. Of course, if you listen to anything that your mom has heard of, I probably wouldn’t recommend it.

Picked up the following after an afternoon spent researching new music to dig on:

  • Magnolia Electric Co. - What Comes After the Blues
  • Calexico - Feast of Wire
  • Iron and Wine/Calexico - In the Reins
  • Sun Kil Moon - Ghosts of the Great Highway (ah, so that’s what Mark Kozelek of Red House Painters has been up to lately)
  • Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy

  1. yeah, I got the sun kil moon cd a few months ago. It’s awesome but different than “songs for a blue guitar.” you’ll dig it. iron and wine is amazing. i didn’t know they had side projects. cool.
