What I’ve Been Up To

Hi. Been a while, eh? Here’s what I’ve been up to:

  • Ran the Peachtree. While up to the day, I was getting sick of the training to get myself in shape to run a 10k (seeing as I only started running in October), the race was actually a lot of fun. It’s 55,000 people, but it looks like the whole city of Atlanta is on Peachtree Street. I was one of the few people who was still running at the top of Cardiac Hill. Once you hook the left onto 10th street for the final few blocks, the energy is crazy. I practically sprinted to the finish line. Maura has some pictures.
  • Got a new phone. No, not that one. I got a Blackberry Pearl (in white). I absolutely love it, even though I mostly use it to send emails to get Maura to pay attention to me when she’s engrossed in laptoppy goodness.
  • Saw some movies. Ratatouille was wonderful, probably my favorite Pixar yet. 1408 was okay. Live Free or Die Hard was a disappointment. It just shot so far past credulity that I couldn’t bring myself to care about what was going on.
  • Booked our tickets to New York for a Labor Day wedding. Grimaldi’s here I come. And maybe other crap, too.

  2. you should walk across the brooklyn bridge to grimaldi’s. i would suggest walking the pizza off after eating, but i prefer the manhattan-to-brooklyn walk, since you get to enjoy the manhattan skyline. (or, you know, walk both ways. it’s not that long of a bridge.)
