As part of our mission to improve the quality of life for all people in Emmet County, we are now accepting grant applications for our Fall 2021 grant cycle. Beginning Monday, August 23, 2021, the Community Foundation is inviting eligible nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and municipalities to apply.

Your application process begins with an email inquiry to grants[at]phsacf.org. From here, our grant team of Kassia Perpich and Sarah Ford, both Directors of Community Philanthropy, will contact prospective applicants to learn more about their proposed projects and answer questions about our grantmaking process. Eligible organizations will then be invited to submit a grant application.

We encourage interested organizations to reach out as early as possible. This allows ample time for prospective applicants to schedule a conversation with our staff. Inquiries will be accepted through Friday, September 24, 2021. Grant applications are due Friday, October 1, 2021

Application review will take place following the grant deadline and will engage advisory committees made up of community members. Youth- and family-focused applications will be reviewed by the foundation’s Youth Advisory Committee, made up of 21 area teens. Applicants will be notified of funding decisions in late November 2021.

As a place-based grant maker, the Community Foundation is committed to making the community stronger including through this twice-per-year grant cycle. We look forward to talking with you.
